Is Adan Syed Really Guilty?

Along these lines, since the last post I have tuned in to the last scene of “Serial”. On the off chance that regardless you have not tuned in to “Serial” I truly prescribe that you do.  Here is a connection. So now that I have tuned in to a few scenes of “Serial” and done some of my own exploration on Adnan’s case I have my own feeling on his case.

One of the primary reasons that Adnan was indicted Hae Min Lee’s murder was a result of the ‘star observer’s to the wrong doing of Jay Wilds. As I would like to think Jay is a messy “observer” to examine . Leading he isn’t really an observer to the wrongdoing by any stretch of the imagination. He wasn’t there when Hae was executed. He, as indicated by his story, just helped Adnan cover Hae’s body. He is likewise a questionable witness due to his story. Jay had two meetings with the police, each somewhat unique in course of events and area. (In the event that you might want to take a gander at a timetable by means of Adnan’s story, Jay’s stories and mobile phone records (click here). Then at the second trial (first trial has considered a legal blunder) his story is somewhat extraordinary once more. On the off chance that I was a safeguard I would raise the way that Jay’s story has changed so much, and in the event that I was a hearer I would be suspicious about his regularly evolving story. (In the event that you might want to take a gander at a timetable by means of Adnan’s story, Jay’s stories and wireless records click ( here)

Additionally, Adnan was said to have murdered Hae at 2:36, yet Adnan was in the library, having a conversation with Asia McClain around then. Asia kept in touch with Adnan a few times when he was detained about her memory of conversing with him at the library. She was so sure, she even composed a sworn statement expressing this. There is additionally a note that Asia composed while conversing with the prosecutor for Adnan’s situation. She composed that there were additionally plausible excuses soon thereafter when he was at the mosque, in any case they pulled out when they found out about the cell record so called “evidence”.

Further more Adnan’s case has been revived and is having another trial on account of those mobile phone records. A ton of the cell phone records proof depends vigorously on the approaching calls, however a specialist in such things has said that PDA tower pings can be off wring when managing approaching calls and also remember this was 1999 technology wasn’t as advanced as it is now.

Also There is also is new data that a detainee was discharged from imprison 13 days before Hae was murdered .(January 1) This previous detainee was charged thefts in addition to killing young ladies of comparable age and background to Hae.((Asian) Perhaps this individual is associated with the murder?

Presently a few people, including one of the “Serial” makers, Diana says that Adnan would need to be “really really unlucky” for all the allegations against him ; including loaning Jay his mobile phone and car, not having an explanation subsequent to the conversation with Asia, the phone records, and so forth to be only a coincidence. That is valid, there are a couple of sus pious things about Adnan’s story, and his clear memory that happened that day that make me mindful to state he is totally innocent.

In conclusion I will state that given the examination I have done and what I have heard on “Serial” that Adnan Syed is innocent of killing Hae Min Lee. Nonetheless I do trust that Adnan was associated with this wrongdoing somehow, regardless of whether Adnan advised the killer where to discover Hae, or he truly helped Jay cover the body. I imagine that Adnan is innocent from committing the murder, yet is liable of being a piece of the wrongdoing somehow.

Serial Podcast Reflection

I listened to an amazing audio recording called ‘The Alibi’ This audio I enjoyed listening to. For an English class, it was another thing to listen to, yet I think it was extremely instructive and educational. When I discovered we needed to listen to an audio recording I wasn’t really excited, yet my brother and I played it out loud in my room and as we were tuned it, it got additionally fascinating and it made my brother and I wanting to listen to more of it. The podcast pulled made me very curious so much that I might want to tune in to more clips to see whether Adnan is blameworthy or not. I liked this since I do appreciate watching murder movies and shows. I am especially into the lawful part of it and learn stuff about this is extremely intriguing towards me.

When I was shown a different  format  , it made me more keen on it. I wondered what the proof resembled, and I  also wondered what the news said. It made me ask significantly more about the case and needed me to keep listening. Instead of reading it I would prefer listening to it because , the tone of the narrator’s voice voice made the video all the more fascinating to watch. All through the audio, Sarah (the narrator)  talked with large portions of Adnan close family and companions to check whether Adnan was liable or not. She appears by doing that she is not naturally blaming him for the murder of Hae, she is basing it off the inquiries she asks in her meeting. Tuning in to the meetings she gave additionally gives me a chance to address is Adnan murdered Hae or not.

I believe Hae’s family is profoundly hurt by Serial in light of the fact that the show and the case continues getting popular. The family is continually reminded about the murder, and how she was killed. The family can’t disregard what has occurred without somebody making a show about and individuals along the roads discussing it. The family manages with people discussing the murder as the walk by and furthermore on the grounds that now everybody thinks about what has happened to their little girl and the whole world has their own opinion. And in an article by the Daily mail her family, have issued an emotional statement insisting convicted killer Adnan Syed  ‘destroyed our family’

If I had the decision of reading the case or tuning in to the audio I would pick the audio. The motivation behind why I would pick it is on the grounds that I don’t think the interviews in the book would be as nitty gritty as they are in the audio, additionally on the grounds that when you tune in to the interview you really can hear the articulation that the individuals being interviewed give. You can likewise tune in to the case as you’re going for a walk or a drive, however reading is required that you have to pay full attention to it and for  example you can’t walk to he store and read but with the audio book you can. In any case, the downside to listening to the sound is it difficult to comprehend the development that is occurring so now and again it can be difficult to comprehend what they are doing, likewise it doesn’t discuss their facial expressions of I think a text would do that.

When I hear how the narrator opens the podcast to me It turns out to be extremely interesting. She asks where somebody is on a specific day to check whether they can recollect the entire day. Above all of them can’t recall that anything and need to set aside a long time to consider it. She specifies that if something important happens or takes place on that day you will have the capacity to recall it all. When she raised this point I came to think she wasn’t right, so then I attempted to recall what I did seven days prior and I could just recollect a next nothing. At that point I began to think what I did toward the start of the week and I couldn’t recall that either. When she talks with her nephew and his friend she asked what they both did around the same time, one offered an explanation to they work, and the other addressed that they both went to go and see this film. This can raise an issue to the case since when the witness is affirmed they either won’t recall what happened a few years after the fact and in the event that they do recollect that they could not be right about it. So the issue I could have about this is the wrong data or insufficient individuals to recollect can put him to prison regardless of the possibility that he had not done anything wrong , or set him free on the off chance that he is not guilty.

A debt that lead to a lot more……

Note: The pages I am referring to are from a PDF file on my computer so it might be not quite the same as the printed version of the book.

The cover of the book “A Mercy”

A mercy is story that revolves around the lives of both slaves and slave owners. In the novel “A Mercy” written by, Toni Morrison Lina reminds me of the common archetypal figure “The Mentor”.  Being a mentor means his or her assignment is to protect the leading character. It is through the knowledgeable guidance and preparation of a mentor that the leading character makes progress in the world (Literary devices) According to that definition Lina is a perfect example of a mentor because Lina takes Florence and safe guards and looks after her. For example Lina helped Florence in the hot summer day when the hammock wasn’t working and she made a place to sleep out of branches. “In summer if our hammocks are hit by mosquitoes Lina makes a cool place to sleep out of branches.”(A Mercy, 12) Also Lina tried protecting Florens and keeping her away from blacksmith since she thinks its all infatuation and saw some danger in their relationship.

An innocent child hopefully looking on.

I also, think that the charter Florence best fits the innocent archetype is, “Characters representing the innocent archetype are often women or children. These character archetypes are pure in every way. Though often surrounded by dark circumstances, the innocent archetype somehow has not become jaded by the corruption and evil of others (5 Common Character Archetypes in Literature).” I trust this prime example speaks to Florence precisely in light of the fact that she is a young lady who lives with her mom and is a defenseless child. When she needs to leave her mom since her owner D’Ortega’s can’t pay off his debt to a Jacob  he gives up one of his slaves. Unfortunately she feels undesirable since her mom has picked the new conceived child over her. Also you may not know she was a child when she was given up and as the story progress she grows up and becomes a teenager.

Also, in this novel Florens’s mother in my opinion is the mother figure. Her mother impulse makes her normally put her children first. For different mothers it is a harder choice. (wild gratitude)  I believe this is true because Florens’s mother sent her as opposed to abandoning Florens since she didn’t want Florens to encounter the same physical, physiological and sexual; mishandle she endured at the present plantation.

I additionally, believe that Jacob Vaark is an every man archetypal figure. The every man archetypal figure regularly goes about as with his normal lifestyle.( 5 common archetypes)  “It became clear what D’Ortega had left to offer. Slaves. Jacob refused. His farm was modest; his trade needed only himself. Besides having no place to put them, there was nothing to occupy them. “Ridiculous,” said D’Ortega. “You sell them. Do you know the prices they garner?” Jacob winced. Flesh was not his commodity.”(Morrsion,20)This character is an ordinary individual, yet for reasons unknown, he or she should confront remarkable conditions. I believe this because he was given Florens in the first place because Ortega couldn’t pay their debt they owed him.

When the compared to the novel “The Wars” I believe that they are very similar when using the mentor archetypal figure the main character in that book Robert Ross used to nurture and help his sister because she was disabled. When she died he felt like should take responsibility for her death because she fell and he wasn’t watching her he was busy in his room. In both novels both Lina and Robert take it upon their selves to help or mentor another character.

An archetypal symbol I found out in my novel was when they were referring to the sun at one point “Unlike the English fogs he had known since he could walk, or those way north where he lived now, this one was sun fired, turning the world into thick, hot gold”. (Morrsion,14) I interpreted as simply after he has gone through the fog is he ready to acquaint himself with this recently discovered environment, as he develops—dreamlike, early—from “hot gold”

In the wake of looking at “A Mercy” through a archetypal point of view I could see that there is an exceptionally presence nearness of a mother and mentor figure in this novel. Also, I like Morrison’s utilization of nature to speak to character like structures or how her so vividly describe the 1680s which must have taken a lot of research  is really extraordinary in its own particular manner. I trust I didn’t ruin to much to you. Read the book you won’t think twice about it and contrast your archetypal perspectives with to mine. And don’t forget to leave a comment 🙂

I believe grade 12 university level English should be a requirement for entry into all university programs for several reasons. The first reason is that taking English would help you communicate easily with more people. Secondly, for taking English you could get the chance to learn how to be a better speaker with group presentations and individual presentations. Lastly, by studying English you could learn valuable research skills.

My first reason is English would help you communicate easily with more people because about 400 million people in the world speak English in about 101 different countries! By learning English you could easily watch movies, documentaries, read books/magazines because most are made in English according to some statistics found on this online article. Also, English is the main language instructors use in the top universities around the world for example in Canada (UofT) , the United States (Yale and Harvard) and in England (Oxford) .  Also, in English class there are some group activities which you have you with other people and during those activities you can learn valuable skills like compromising and accepting people’s opinion which could help you in university and also in future job placements. Those are some reasons why learning English could help you communicate better.

Students having an in class discussion

My second reason is the presenting skills that you obtain could also, help you in other fields for example in business. For instance in business you could pitch a new idea for a product to a group of consumers or buyers with confidence and make people interested in what you are saying. Also, these presenting skills could help you when you are a getting a job and you go to a job interview and be more marketable. This might increase your chances of getting hired. Those are also some reason why English could help you present better.

A man is analyzing and explaining the graphs on display.

Lastly, by studying English you could learn valuable research skills to help you in your everyday life and other courses. For example , in biology you could use the research skills you learned in English class while working on essays to help you research for a lab report on rats and their life style. Also, it could help you with using a library database since most I think all universities have database. Those are some reasons why I believe English should be a requirement for entry into all university programs.

In conclusion I believe that grade 12 university level English should be a requirement for entry into all university programs. In English class you learn a variety of different skills that could help you in post-secondary such as presenting skills, research skills and communicating with people easier in group settings.
